In The Footsteps of Monks, A Botanical Study at Friary

Start: 11:00 just within Friary, to the right of the cattle grid, where you will see a sign,’ Car Park’.
Gr ST 788591 Landranger 172/Explorer 142. Friary is reached via Friary Wood Lane, a narrow steep road leading down from the A36.
Finish: 15:30
Focus: A walk through woodlands, fields and beside the River Frome, looking at wildlife of late winter/early spring, with a botanical focus on the plants that would have been used by the medieval community living here. Stout footwear advised. Shelter and toilet facilities are available on-site. Please bring a packed lunch and book in advance as numbers are limited. Hot and cold drinks provided on site, plus welcome coffee/tea and biscuits.
