(Cotswold Water Park &) Lower Moor Farm near Oaksey, updated

Due to unforeseen circumstances this event has had to be amended from the description in the BNHS Autumn / Winter 2022-2023 newsletter, issued in 2022.

1. Cotswold Water Park
This first part of the day is now self-guided and there will be no leader in attendance
Start: 8:00 Finish: 10:00
Meet: Neighbridge Car Park off Spine Road north of Minety, GR ST 019946. Landranger 173/Explorer 169
Focus: Bird Song, including warblers, water birds and possible Nightingale.
2. Lower Moor Farm Wiltshire Wildlife Trust Reserve, Near Oaksey
Please note: attendance to this meeting is limited to 15 places.
Parking is limited so it is requested that anyone already booked with Lucy Starling and anyone booking now should register their interest with the President, Rob Randall, so car-sharing can be arranged if required. Focus: Flora, insects and birds
Description: Mainly level walking, probably muddy in places, of no more than 3 miles, including Clattinger Farm, renowned for its Snake’s-head Fritillaries. While it may be too early this year for Green-winged Orchids and Downy Emerald dragonfly, there may be Marsh Fritillary butterflies on the wing.
Bring food and drink. The cafe on the reserve may also be open.
