Chilcombe Bottom near Batheaston

Meet: At Eagle House, Northend BA1 7EH. GR 779684 Landranger 172/Explorer 155. Parking available roadside. Or Bus 3A or 3B from Bus Station, alight St Catherine’s Way, Batheaston (check first with Traveline)
Finish: Approx 13:00
Focus: Summer flora and fauna. Walk includes a small nature reserve (a former reservoir) where dragonflies are common. Warblers may also be found among reeds.
Description: Generally level walking along valley floor, but includes some gentle ascents (including steps) taking in Solsbury Hill. Muddy in places, waterproof boots recommended.
